DetailsZSTD compression is used for Arch packages now. It helps to reduces size of the packages and improve decompress time.
Using ZSTD for the pacman database file will help to reduce download size and reduce pacman update time. We need to make sure our tools support ZSTD-compressed databases. Jelle, could you please look at ZSTD support for Arch Web? |
