Description:
The latest version of the archiso as of now — archlinux-2020.07.01-x86_64.iso — is missing wifi-menu (netctl) and possibly other packages that are crucial for Arch Linux installs. I could not confirm what else this version was missing since I could not get to later install step when using the iso for an install. The reason I label this as medium severity is that, as far as I can tell, only wifi-bound installs are affected by this bug. Additional info: * package version(s): archlinux-2020.07.01-x86_64.iso * config and/or log files etc. : none * link to upstream bug report, if any: none Steps to reproduce: *Download archlinux-2020.07.01-x86_64.iso *Generate bootable usb with the image ^^ *Boot any wifi-capable system with the bootable usb *Attempt to begin wifi setup by invoking wifi-menu |
