The lxcfs service (provided by lxcfs package) no longer starts via Systemd after upgrading package to 4.0.4-1. The fix is applied here: https://github.com/lxc/lxcfs/commit/7cf2b4146811fc238452e65d1cd573ea5f473970
But the fix has been merged into master for about 18 days now and there's no subsequent release. It's not clear to me why there's no release yet.
Maybe the package should be downgraded until upstream provides a fixed version?
