Details

Currently, it is possible to install xfce-notification-daemon-svn 2506-1 without libnotify. However, the notification-daemon settings cannot be configured (The error in the console after logging out says something along the lines of "libnotify.so not found.").

I assumed that libnotify was a package, and sure enough I found and installed it. Problem solved.

Therefore, xfce-notification-daemon-svn should have the package libnotify as a dependency.
