Description:
Freshly installed Anki version 2.1.21-1 fails to start with the following traceback: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/anki", line 3, in <module> import aqt ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'aqt' The first time I started it, it displayed an error message about some error with a graphics driver (?) and asked me to re-start anki to try the next available driver. Now it fails with the above error. Tried removing (pacman -Rs anki) and reinstalling and it gives the same error. Possibly relevant information: I have anaconda installed, so maybe it messes up python imports? Apologies if this report is lacking, it's my first time reporting here. Anki's website clearly states that they do not support version of anki packaged with linux distributions so I cannot report this bug there. Let me know if any additional information is needed. |

Reason for closing: Not a bug
Additional comments about closing: Anaconda is entirely 100% incompatible with the system python, and you must not add anaconda to your $PATH as it will break all python applications.
Only use anaconda's python executable for the specific python sessions you need it for.
