vino is no longer used; the VNC server implementation is now gnome-remote-desktop.

that's interesting because when i delete vino package, screensharing option in gnome control center gets removed as well
but nothing changes when i remove or install gnome-remote-desktop

The screen sharing capplet is included in vino itself, so when you remove vino it will disappear.

Vino doesn't work on wayland, which is why you can't enable it.

I don't use wayland, I use xorg with NVIDIA proprietary drivers

It's an upstream bug, currently the desktop sharing cannot be enabled on Xorg:

@JGC, heftig: please remove vino from the official repositories, because it's no longer maintained, and has security issues due to its outdated internal libvncserver fork:

so vino will get replaced by gnome-remote-desktop?
if yes then why is it still needed for remote desktop option to appear in gnome control center
