DetailsThe system hangs during early boot after upgraded intel-ucode from 20200520-1 to 20200609-2. After systemd-boot EFI boot manager, the system hangs with a blank screen, keyboard no respond, need to force power off.
I rebooted into the EFI boot manager and edited the Arch boot loader entry by removing initrd=/intel-ucode.img, then the system can boot up normally. After that, I downgraded the intel-ucode to 20200520-1 and rebooted, and the system can boot up normally. FS#66978I think... The issue was present in 20200609-1, but the microcode for that specific CPU was reverted in 20200609-2.Versions 20200520-1 and 20200609-2 should behave exactly the same for your system. Can you please verify versions used?
