Description:
Bangla (Probhat) layout to write Bengali doesn't work as expected. It seems that it is overridden by another Bengali layout. Steps to reproduce: 1. Select Bangla (Probhat) layout to write Bengali. 2. You can see output doesn't match original layout. Additional info: It is really popular layout to write Bengali. Hope this issue get fixed ASAP. Thanks. |
This task depends upon
From Menu open Keyboard. Then go to layout tab and there is option to add layouts. (screenshot attached).
This was working fine. May be latest update cause the issue.
I've investigated the issue further after it was closed [I guess you didn't understand difference between Bengali layouts. That's okay with me.] and pin-pointed the cause for my issue. I use 2 layouts, one is "us" and another one is "bd -variant ,probhat". So my issue was with the second layout, which was not loading correctly, instead default Bengali layout was loading.
Do I need to file another issue about "xkeyboard-config-2.30-1" or I can edit this one?

I downgraded to xkeyboard-config-2.29-1 and problem is solved. parhaps the latest xkeyboard-config pkg is broken.
Thank you.
Thanks.
