Details
The upstream Chrome release has included ANGLE, its GLES
implementation, into the package since v81. Their long-term
path seems to be using ANGLE on all platforms in order to
have all driver bug workarounds in one place [1] (although
unfortunately, it is a bug about a regression).
It would be a good idea if we also include ANGLE in our build, to make it more consistent with upstream in terms of any gfx-related behaviors. Adding lib{EGL,GLESv2}.so from the build artifacts should be good enough. [1] https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=1042393#c6 % pacman -Q chromium chromium 83.0.4103.61-1 |
