$ amarok
Amarok: [Loader] Starting amarokapp..
Amarok: [Loader] Don't run gdb, valgrind, etc. against this binary! Use amarokapp.
amarokapp: error while loading shared libraries: libdb-4.4.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

not a sync error. Using the latest amarok and db packages

$ pacman -Q amarok-base
amarok-base 1.4.5-4

$ pacman -Q db
db 4.5.20-1

Downgrade to db 4.4 is not possible. A lot of stuff requires 4.5 (apache, samba...)

your system is not up to date probably due to mirrors are out of sync
