@mtorromeo: don't you test new (in the context of ELK major) release trees locally?
Comment by Massimiliano Torromeo (mtorromeo) - Wednesday, 20 May 2020, 16:03 GMT
What I usually do is install the package and just start the service.

I used to actually query the service from an application that I was developing but I don't use it anymore and this time I forgot even to start it. I let some time pass from building the package to publishing it and lost focus and this is the result, sorry about that!

I think it would be better if I stop maintaining the whole ELK stack altogether given that I don't really use them at all and you are already co-maintaining them anyway.

No problem, happens. I'm a fan of co-maintaining so if you feel uncomfortable testing major releases I'm more than happy if you just help co-maintaining regular point releases :)

Sure, no problem. I'll just switch to the co-pilot seat then :)

Should be fixed in elasticsearch-7.7.0-2

Thanks for the patch!

@heregoesnoth: are you sure it's the same problem? Can you share come logs? What version of the JVM are you using?

Ok, thought you meant that elasticsearch-7.7.0-2 was not working for you.
