Description:
The GUI preferences depends on `packagekit` in order to install missing dictionaries, but this is not installed. Additional info: * https://github.com/mike-fabian/ibus-typing-booster/blob/master/setup/pkginstall.py Steps to reproduce: * Preferences > Dictionaries and input methods > Use dictionaries for the following languages * Add a new dictionary (that is not present on the system) to be used for input * Observe there is a red 'x' in the 'spell checker' column (meaning dictionary not present on the system) * Click 'Install missing dictionaries' * No error, nor change in red 'x', and dictionary does not get installed * (Manually install the dictionary, and observe the red 'x' does change to a dark green/black tick) |

Have you installed the matching hunspell-* dictionaries?

I have, manually. This is about the GUI button to install them on
behalf of the user, using packagekit under the hood. This fails,
unless packagekit has been installed for another reason, as it is
not specified as a dependency of this package.
