DetailsDescription: I'm using Arch Linux with Gnome. Today on 5/15/2020 I installed updates which included an update to linux-api-kernel-headers-5.6.11, gcc-10.0.1, among other things. Now my computer won't boot. It gets to a graphical Gnome screen that says "An unrecoverable error has occurred. Please contact a system administrator". I AM the system administrator but it doesn't give me a login prompt at all. I can't log in as ROOT or with my regular user account. Not cool to hose my entire system. Testing updates should NOT be pushed out to the stable channel.
Additional info: * package version(s) * config and/or log files etc. * link to upstream bug report, if any Steps to reproduce: Turn on my computer. Wait for Arch to boot. Then I get the above reported error message. |
