Description:
GIF here: https://imgur.com/a/WNtb2wk.

There are white elements in dark GTK themes.
See this: https://github.com/daniruiz/flat-remix-gtk/issues/84.

Initially, I thought this was a problem with the custom theme but this affects the Adwaita Dark too. (See GIF where the shell theme is default and GTK theme is Adwaita-Dark)

Also, Adwaita Dark has a problem with nautilus - see this: https://imgur.com/CLxCB6u, but Flat Remix Dark doesn't - see this: https://imgur.com/cJZerin

Additional info:
* package version - possibly 3.36.x - this may have existed in previous versions but I only noticed in 3.36.x. It is not recent, I didn't file a bug report earlier hoping it would go away

* affected apps - I have noticed this in gnome-clocks (bottom tabs), tilix (terminal titlebar), fragments (the "section" of a torrent) and nautilus (background in picture linked).

Steps to reproduce:
Choose a dark GTK theme in gnome-tweaks
