This may have been user error. There have been frequent kernel updates in the last 3-4 weeks, and this may have been caused by me upgrading the linux package without rebooting. I haven't been able to reproduce this error since the last reboot, and there haven't been any linux package upgrades.

Still happening, and I confirmed that it's not correlated to a kernel package update.

Maybe the sof-firmware package needs an update (it is currently at 1.4.2-1; 1.4.3 and 1.5.0 are available upstream).
