DetailsThe recent updates to ppsspp's packaging (versions 1.9.4-2 and 1.9.4-3) added a few new dependencies involving ffmpeg.
Here's an open github issue detailing why this is not a good idea: https://github.com/hrydgard/ppsspp/issues/11490 Using ppsspp 1.9.4-1, the opening cutscene on Final Fantasy plays normally. On 1.9.4-3 I get a stuttering and broken mess. I'm sure plenty of other games will encounter video playback issues as well. |
