Details

Description:
When using either Discord, Firefox or Steam, the KDE session randomly crashes to login screen(SDDM).

Additional info:
* mesa-20.0.4-1 , latest atm (https://www.mesa3d.org/)
* kernel: 5.6.3-arch1-1
* hardware: ThinkPad L390 Yoga with Hybrid Dockingstation
* didnt crash before 5.5.*

Steps to reproduce:
1. have intel mesa driver installed
2. be on 5.6.3-arch1-1
3. use any of the before mentioned applications

This has nothing to do with sddm, it's Xorg crashing

https://bbs.archlinux.de/viewtopic.php?id=33108 - Looks similar to your issue. Please show your xorg.conf file and fix you module loading throwing several "EE" errors.

I dont see how the forum entry is related to my problem. I dont expirience lagging, i expirience crashing. Anyway here are the .conf files

i have no xorg.conf file if you are waiting for this, there is non. AFAIK the newer xorg can also be configured through xorg.conf.d

So it doesnt crash to login screen anymore, but the screen completely freezes.

Ok, I've done some further research and found this entry https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Intel_graphics#X_freeze/crash_with_intel_driver . If I try to login with those settings set, almost the whole screen is black and i can only see the cursor, tho it seems that everything loaded properly, since the cursor adapts its graphics according to the elements on screen from the previous session.
