Details

Updating to testing kernel 5.6.2.arch1-2 resulted in sound no longer working. The journal showed the following errors.

pulseaudio[904]: W: [pulseaudio] alsa-util.c: Unable to load mixer: Invalid argument
kernel: snd_hda_intel 0000:00:1b.0: control 2:0:0:Beep Playback Switch:0: access overflow

Downgrading the kernel to 5.5.13.arch2-1 resolved the issue.

I couldn't comment on this bug report because it was closed. Upstream patch resolved issue. Though considering this is reopened I'm thinking you might be aware.
