Description:

Each time I launch an app in Wayland it becomes slightly bigger than it were before being closed. You can easily reproduce it with any basic Gnome app (Nautilus, Gedit, etc). It's clearly a regression because downgrading to 3.24.16 "solves" the issue.

Although I've already reported it upstream I would say that the regression is severe enough to revert back to 3.24.16 while the problem is being addressed upstream. I'm marking this as Medium priority, my apologies if you consider that an exaggeration, but IMO the important functionality of restoring a window at its previous size is compromised (and in an accumulative way: the window becomes bigger and bigger).

Additional info:
* package version(s): 3.24.17
* link to upstream bug report: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/-/issues/1166
