This task depends upon
After downgrading to 19.3.4, both issues go away.
I haven't been able to obtain any logs when the system hard locks, but here are the logs from the video tab crashes:
The only thing I know thus far is that it only happens when picom is running and is using the "glx" backend.
The hard-lock occurs within the first 5-30 mins after starting xorg.
I've been testing stuff for 2 days now. Yesterday I disabled picom and I experienced no freezes after running my system for +12 hours doing all kinds of different things.
Today. I tried to run picom with the "xrender" backend and it had no issues too.
So what I can confirm (at least for me) is that it only happens when picom is running and is using the "glx" backend.
What I've tried.
kernels: linux, linux-lts, linux-mainline
mesa: mesa, mesa-git
with grub kernel parameter " radeon.dpm=0 ".
