Description:
Where an appindicator menu item has no submenu or custom styling, the menu shows a graphic indicating a missing image. Additional info: * gnome-shell upgraded to 1:3.36.1-1, mutter at same version Steps to reproduce: Look at appindicator menu for apps such as Dropbox, Slack, JetBrains Toolbox - see attachment re the latter |

Downgrading only gnome-shell to 3.36.0+35+gd9a75412c resolves the
issue

Issue not confined only to appindicator menus - can also be seen
in Arc Menu extension

Looks to be fixed by upstream commit
