Description:

OpenMPI provides several fortran modules (files with .mod extension)

/usr/lib/openmpi/mpi.mod
/usr/lib/openmpi/mpi_ext.mod
/usr/lib/openmpi/mpi_f08.mod
/usr/lib/openmpi/mpi_f08_callbacks.mod
/usr/lib/openmpi/mpi_f08_ext.mod
/usr/lib/openmpi/mpi_f08_interfaces.mod
/usr/lib/openmpi/mpi_f08_interfaces_callbacks.mod
/usr/lib/openmpi/mpi_f08_types.mod
/usr/lib/openmpi/pmpi_f08_interfaces.mod

they must be rebuilt every time that gfortran get his version number bumped. At the time of writing, they are currently broken.

Can you elaborate what you mean specifically by "gfortran get his version number bumped" and what you specifically experience in result?
