And you think this is an issue with how Arch packages it, even though you're not on Arch?

Me too.
I have xfce4-screensaver and xfce4-power-manager install and a openbox window manager as my main environment.
Both he screensaver and power-manager are set to autostart via openbox's autostart config file.

While press sleep button or close lid, the screensaver do run successfully but the system won't go into sleep. If unlock the screen it will popup a windows says that “None of the screen lock tools ran successfully, the screen will not be locked.”

Is this fixed with xfce4-screensaver 0.1.9-1?

Hi all,

After I downgrade xfce4-power-manager from xfce4-power-manager-1.6.6-1 to xfce4-power-manager-1.6.5-2, the problem disappeared.
Now I don't know where the root cause is, may we should also involve xfce4-power-manager package to this issue.

Assigning to foutrelis for the xfce4-session part.

xfce4-session 4.14.2 was released with a fix for this (4.14.2-1 in Arch).

Last remaining piece seems to be adding the following commit to xfce4-screensaver:

@Scimmia

I'm not sure I'm understanding your question. I am on Arch, which is why I am reporting this bug here.

Already fixed in xfce4-screensaver 0.1.9-3. ;)
