Translated man pages from upstream projects should always have priority over those from external projects like manpages-l10n. Please remove the mentioned files. We (the upstream maintainers of manpages-l10n) will make sure that the next tarball doesn't contain the respective .po files anymore.

The package cannot install as-is and is therefore completely unusable, because it conflicts with the base system.

So I'm raising the severity. :)

@Jaroslav, although the package is flagged out-of-date, it should be sufficient for the time being to remove the conflicting files without updating the package to 4.0.0. I expect the next upstream version in a few weeks; it won't then contain the xz man pages anymore.
