This merge request (https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/-/merge_requests/918 ) is probably responsible for massive problems with firefox on wayland when using firefox in maximized window state. * happens in firefox version 73 and current firefox developer edition see also: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1609538 any chance for this particular patch in mutter on arch to get reverted (from reading the forums it seems this merge was designed for gnome 3.35.x and 3.36), until this bug get's resorted in firefox/mutter? Firefox on Wayland is not ready for consumption. Please use XWayland. If you want to help test, use Firefox Nightly, which will land a workaround soon.
