Details

Description: tcplay 3.1-1 is not able to decrypt an encrypted container.
Setting up the loop device works, inserting a key seems to work too.
After that the processes is stuck, a password is never asked.

After downgrading package tcplay (3.1-1 => 2.0-2),
the container is properly setup and decrypting works as it should.

Additional info:
System is up to date.
There are no log files to show.

right now i can't spot why this would be a packaging problem, please open an upstream ticket and post the link here

It sounds a bit like https://github.com/bwalex/tc-play/issues/71
But we hard depend properly on our device-mapper package (version 2.02.186), that provides dmsetup stuff and upstream udev/rules.d/ rules

Yes, I already had a feeling it could possibly be upstream, but lets wait for an answer from the dev.

An update is provided by bwalex the dev of tcplay.
I have full confidence this will work so I'll go ahead and close the issue.

I have compiled the package and installed it(3.3) and all is back to normal
