Shows alert about the beta version on start up.
And I couldn't get it to play back after recording. Nothing happens when I press playback.

There's nothing wrong with my setup because I installed audacity-wxgtk2 from the AUR and it's working.

Additional info:
* 1:2.3.3-2

Steps to reproduce:
* Start it and you'll see the alert

@niknah: Thanks for the report.

I'm not able to reproduce the beta version alert that you are seeing. Could you make a screenshot and attach that image (or a cropped version)?
Also, for testing purposes: Could you move your ~/.audacity-data out of the way and start audacity again?
When moving mine out of the way I only get a startup window, that welcomes me to the current version (2.3.3) of Audacity.

Please open a second ticket for your playback/UI issues.

The dialog that I see... https://ibb.co/SJRWwqb

Thanks, removing the .audacity-data may have helped, I can play back now.

@niknah: Are you sure, that you are starting the version, that is currently in the repositories? I'm not getting this message (I get one that is very specific to the current stable version, with links to wiki, forums, etc.) and the one that you are getting looks as if you have built audacity from a development branch (e.g. audacity-git in the AUR).

Please make sure, that you are really running community/audacity: `sudo pacman -Syu audacity`

I manually downloaded from the archlinux.org website and it worked, thanks.

Don't know why but when I run "sudo pacman -Syu audacity", it downgrades it...
