DetailsDescription:
Shows alert about the beta version on start up. And I couldn't get it to play back after recording. Nothing happens when I press playback. There's nothing wrong with my setup because I installed audacity-wxgtk2 from the AUR and it's working. Additional info: * 1:2.3.3-2 Steps to reproduce: * Start it and you'll see the alert |

I'm not able to reproduce the beta version alert that you are seeing. Could you make a screenshot and attach that image (or a cropped version)?
Also, for testing purposes: Could you move your ~/.audacity-data out of the way and start audacity again?
When moving mine out of the way I only get a startup window, that welcomes me to the current version (2.3.3) of Audacity.
Please open a second ticket for your playback/UI issues.
Thanks, removing the .audacity-data may have helped, I can play back now.
Please make sure, that you are really running community/audacity: `sudo pacman -Syu audacity`
Don't know why but when I run "sudo pacman -Syu audacity", it downgrades it...
warning: downgrading package audacity (1:2.3.3-2 => 1:2.3.3-1)
