Do you have the same problem in Kernel 5.5?
Does it happen with modesetting driver in 5.4 or 5.5?

The kernel config did not change. Please also confirm with stock Arch 5.4.x from archive and 5.5 kernel.

@freswa in the 5.5 kernel, artifacts are also observed, rolled back to linux-lts-4.19.99, there is no problem in it

What if you use the modesetting driver with 5.4 and 5.5?

Sounds like a kernel drm module regression. Please search/report this upstream.
