I doubt that the "development version" marker on https://developer.gnome.org/libsecret is accurate information: according to https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/libsecret#releases and https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/libsecret/issues/30, the project follows semantic versioning since 0.19.0, so all released versions can be considered stable.
