DetailsDescription:
deja-dup 40.1-2 added python-pydrive (well, technically python2-pydrive) as a dependency. Since deja-dup uses duplicity as its backend, where that is an optional dependency, I do not see why it must be a required dependency specified by deja-dup package itself. Please remove as a required dependency. However, I do see that pydrive is referenced in the upstream build file https://gitlab.gnome.org/World/deja-dup/blob/master/meson.build . It however does not look to be a dependency, but just an option override for what pydrive package duplicity should use if it pulls it in. So, it is not clear to me that this is actually a required dependency for deja-dup. Additional info: * 40.1-2 + Steps to reproduce: Install deja-dup equal or greater than 40.1-2, pydrive and all of its related google dependencies are pulled in. |
