Description: any time I open xine, it crashes

[funny enougth, even if the locale is not not supported by C library, it results in mostly english output, the last line in german just states: memory-access error, dump written...]

As the Internet mentions xine issues with mesa, the mesa version is 19.3.2-2

Just a comment... the last time I tried it (currently my PC is defect), about 2 weeks ago, even as a lot of updates arrived in the meantime since I reported the problem, it still persists
