Description:

Thumbnails for videos aren't generated in nautilus after updating gst-plugins-ugly. Downgrading gst-plugins-ugly to 1.16.2-1, x264 to 3:0.157.r2980.34c06d1-2, and ffmpeg to 1:4.2.1-4 fixes the issue. Calling totem-video-thumbnailer directly seems to be working fine as well.

Additional info:

* package version(s)

nautilus 3.34.2-1, totem 3.34.1-1, gst-plugins-ugly 1.16.2-2, x264 3:0.159.r2991.1771b55-1, ffmpeg 1:4.2.2-1

Steps to reproduce:

Clear thumbnail cache and navigate to a folder which has videos with nautilus after updating gst-plugins-ugly to 1.16.2-2.

Same here with manjaro too.
Deleting thumbnails in cache doesn't help (it worsens).

Seems to be fixed with ffmpeg 1:4.2.2-2 but some thumbnails look corrupted (vertically split in half with the left side being grey and the right side being green).
