Description:
calling lyx, menu "file", menu "new from template", select "APA6" from list, gives the error:

The selected document class
American Psychological Association (APA), v. 6
requires external files that are not available.
The document class can still be used, but the
document cannot be compiled until the following
prerequisites are installed:
apa6.cls
apacite.sty
endfloat.sty
endnotes.sty
flushend.sty

User's Guide for more information.


installing texlive-publishers, https://www.archlinux.org/packages/extra/any/texlive-publishers/files/ does not resolve the problem. my guess is that i might miss something.

Use pkgfile (from the pkgfile package in the Archlinux extra repository). That solves your problem.
