Description:
After the upgrade to nvidia-utils 440.44-2, VDPAU hardware acceleration is broken, resulting in crashes when using applications like VLC. The output of vdpauinfo is: display: :0 screen: 0 Error creating VDPAU device: 1 Additional info: This is fixed by downgrading nvidia-utils to 440.44-1. This is seen on a laptop with Optimus using PRIME, on an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050. It may be related to https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/64805 ? Steps to reproduce: Upgrade to nvidia-utils 440.44-2. Check the output of vdpauinfo or attempt to use an application like VLC that can use hardware video acceletation |
