DetailsThe following problem existst in the newest version of Evolution in Extra. Since it involves file-specific errors I suspect a packaging-error. But first to the report:
I can set up an initial IMAP-Account ok but when I want to actually access it, Evoltion tells me that the connection has been canceled for an unkown reason and drops an error-message to the console libnm_glib_nm_state_cb: dbus returned an error. (org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown) The name org.freedesktop.NetworkManager was not provided by any .service files Then I try to edit the configuration for said account but that is not possible: the OK-Button stays grayed-out, no matter what I do. Evolution constantly throws errors to the console in the following manner: (evolution-2.8:12951): e-utils-WARNING **: can't load plugin '/opt/gnome/lib/evolution/2.8/plugins/liborg-gnome-groupwise-features.so: undefined symbol: _' So far. Any more information needed? // mucknert |

It seems there's a bug in the compilation of the groupwise plugin. You can disable the groupwise plugins in edit -> plugins to workaround the problems for now.

Well, it only solves the problem partially. Evolution connects okay now and I can hit the OK-Button in the Account-Preferences. However, hitting cancel lets Evolution freeze.

Can't reproduce the freeze, but the groupwise plugin has been fixed now.

A pity. I could try to run evolution in gdb though. I can reproduce it reliably, I just do not get any error in the console.

Is this fixed with evolution 2.10?
