Hello, as we don't have a suitable tier 1 mirror in Iran, I've decided to mirror archlinux packages on my own servers and I'm applying for a tier 2 mirror and over time apply for tier 1 mirror.

Mirror domain name: mirror.saminserver.com/archlinux
Geographical location of the mirror (country): IR
URLs for supported access methods: http, https
Your mirror's available bandwidth: 1Gb
An administrative contact email: info@aminvakil.com
An alternative administrative contact email: info@saminserver.com
The name of tier 1 mirror you are syncing from: rsync://mirror.f4st.host/archlinux/

Thanks, I've added your mirror. I'll keep this open for possible tier 1 status in 6 to 9 months, but I can't make any promises.

Thanks.

It seems that there is a problem in Iran Internet and it's not specific to our servers, it's nationwide as it seems that other websites in Iran can't be opened from foreign countries as well (not completely down but lots of packet loss).

My question is this now, as I'm mirroring this for Iran users and they don't have problem now and these things (internet loss, packet loss from outside countries, ...) happens a lot in our country unfortunately should I mail arch-mirrors-announce whenever I realize there is a problem or not?

We have been seeing similar issues with many other Iranian mirrors for a long time now. I think posting on the mailing list is not necessary and would only be noise. Thanks for the offer though.

As long as the mirror works inside Iran and you can somehow update the mirror via rsync that's enough for us.

Why doesn't country of https url gets determined and be shown as Iran like http?

The country is set manually per URL, and the HTTPS URL was overlooked. I've set it for the HTTPS URL now.

How often pacman-mirrorlist gets updated?
I'm wondering when does this mirror adds to pacman-mirrorlist package:)

The mirrorlist package is updated manually. That said, it has indeed been a while so I've just pushed a new package.

Unfortunately the Samin Server project is closing in 3 months, therefore mirror.saminserver.com.
Please remove it from pacman-mirrorlist asap.
