DetailsSince gnome-shell 3.34 (around 3.34.1 - 3.34.2 update) drag and drop with Chrome doesn't work anymore.
To reproduce: just open a site that allows uploading a file with drag and drop (for example gmail attachment) and try to drag a file from Nautilus: while dragging over everything seems to work fine, but when you drop it (release the mouse) it fails. I'm experiencing this issue in Wayland, not tested in X11 and it stared after one of the first maintenance updates to gnome-shell / mutter 3.34.x Does anyone else is having the same issue? Is there any workaround or patch? Thanks! |

I found https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1757397, which looks very similar. Trying to use the logging tweak and minimal test case Martin posted in the thread yields the attached log file (at the end it's getting only plain text data, but I tried to move an image).
Running under Wayland too if that makes any difference, haven't tested under X11.

Is this issue still valid?
