Tested kernel 5.4.4-arch1-1 and the same problem.
Tested kernel 5.4.5-arch1-1 and the same problem.

Is the issue also present using linux 5.5-rc2?
Have you reported the issue upstream [1]?

Thanks. Will do some more searching first to see if the issue has been reported elsewhere. Not tested 5.5, yet. Slow laptop for compile, so will see if I can test 5.5 through some other means.

Ever since I ran pacman -Syu yesterday, my desktop has been unable to reliably auto-negotiate Ethernet links (works maybe 1 in 20 tries). I tried both a linksys switch and a TPLink router, and I could not get the link to work. I tried my integrated NIC and a USB NIC and could not get the link to work. Forcing the link to 1Gbps in the network manager config makes it work fine.

I filed a bug report with bugzilla shortly after I had done it here. Still no fix and the problem has persisted into kernel 5.5.5. In fact I just tested 5.5.5 and the speed is ever slower at 7Mbit/s.
