rt2500 is not working anymore with kernel 2.6.20-ARCH, as with kernel 2.6.19-beyond. The driver loads correctly and seems ok but the signal strengh is 0% and one can't establish association with any AP,
but strange thing: airodump (from aircrack-ng) is working ! Many rt2500 users have been complaining about this bug..

Additional comments about closing:  No feedback from the reporter for months, and rt2500 worked well with 2.6.21/22 for me.

Always broken with kernel 2.6.21 and package rt2500_B4-9 ...
