Description:

This package seems to be affected again by this bug https://github.com/telegramdesktop/tdesktop/issues/5843

Not so the AUR binary version https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/telegram-desktop-bin/ which does work as expected.

Steps to reproduce:

Arbitrary audio messages are not properly played. You'll get some like this output message when you try to play them:
[ogg @ 0x7f68b8005f40] 737 bytes of comment header remain
Invalid return value 0 for stream protocol
Invalid return value 0 for stream protocol
[ogg @ 0x7f68b8005f40] Packet processing failed: Invalid data found when processing input

As you can see in the link https://github.com/telegramdesktop/tdesktop/issues/5843 it was an upstream issue for the audio messages produced by iOS telegram version, which were malformed. Now it seems to be solved but old ogg malformed files won't never be played anymore. If you want to play those you have to use the AUR package https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/telegram-desktop-bin which is packaging the official telegram binary released with a deprecated ffmpeg version linked.

Thank you anyway.
