Details

When opening an url in the current xchat, every once in a while kfmclient crashed with the error message:
"Der Befehl lässt sich nicht ausführen. Die Datei oder der Ordner file:///home/defcon/www.wetter.com existiert nicht."

yesterday it works well, this morning it crashed.
using KDE3.5.6 on arch 0.8

You should provide some more example URLs that don't work. This is most probably not an Arch bug as kfmclient couldn't possibly recognize each and every URL scheme. You could also try to see how the call to kfmclient looks like in Xchat, it might be an issue of improper quoting.

It's quite simple, I can reproduce it here also, the URL you opened is not valid. When I execute "kfmclient openURL www.google.com, it tries to open /home/jan/www.google.com, as the URL could be a filename aswell. This is what happens when you make xchat open an URL without http:// in front of it.

yes, u r rights. with http in front, it works fine.
well.. how to fix? is there a setting somewhere?
