DetailsFor a number of programs I have tried to install through Pacman like Gnome I get this error message: cannot resolve dependencies for "libwnck": "libxres". If I try to install linwnck from extra I get the error for libxres. If I try to install libxres it says the package cannot be found. I have tried a different mirror but it still doesn't work.

libxres is in current, what URL do you use for current? Could bet hat you're using a very outdated mirror, or that your pacman.conf is still pointing to an old release (0.7.1?). I can't reproduce this.

Sorry, I fixed this by removing all my /etc/pacmand.d/ files and replacing them by renaming .pacnew files which had been, I think, backed up after a pacman -Syu. It makes me wonder why they were changed in the first place?
