DetailsDescription:
Current version of "asp export python" gives you version 3.8.0-1. However even as this is written the actual package version is showing "3.7.4". This causes unnecessary partial upgrade issues due to the inaccuracy of the distribution versions being different than the expectation of "asp export" giving the expected version for building the same as the distribution version. There is no documentation explaining this, the only documentation available indicates that current is what is expected. Additional info: * package version(s) * config and/or log files etc. * link to upstream bug report, if any Steps to reproduce: Simply type "asp export python" if you need to make sure that the packages list is up to date you can do "asp update" before hand. Regardless you will get a version that is not actually current (according to the documentation "asp export PKGNAME" will get you the current release and this is simply not true). |

It is pulling the latest version. See https://www.archlinux.org/packages/staging/x86_64/python/. Sounds completely normal.

Documentation for "asp export" does not state that as being the expectation or the result. I have filed a bug in asp package as it seems more relevant there.
