Details

When the shutdown dialog in KDE appears, the reboot button has a dropdown menu that should be to select the grub entry to load after reboot. But this selection is not honored and GRUB loads the default one.

Just an idea: could it be that there should be some files in /boot writable by user?

The propouse of the bug was to either remove or implement that... i think remove is the best choice, because /boot user rw support is rather scary }:>
