Details

Package: intel-tbb
Version: 2019.9

Description:
After upgrading to intel-tbb-2019.9, the following debug libraries are no longer included in the package:

/usr/lib/libtbb_debug.so
/usr/lib/libtbb_debug.so.2
/usr/lib/libtbbmalloc_debug.so
/usr/lib/libtbbmalloc_debug.so.2
/usr/lib/libtbbmalloc_proxy_debug.so
/usr/lib/libtbbmalloc_proxy_debug.so.2

There was a problem in the past that lead to the changes:
* bug: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/62757
* change: https://git.archlinux.org/svntogit/packages.git/commit/trunk?h=packages/intel-tbb&id=cceb9a493128e6617a915a68858ffbd3f85b63dc

A side-effect of the change is that the debug versions are no longer installed. Maybe that is intentional, but I would expected them to be present. (If not, having such alternative package with the debug builds would be an option.)

Here is the list of libraries before and after.

Before (intel-tbb-2019.8):

$ ls -alhg /usr/lib/libtbb*
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root 26 Jul 9 17:26 /usr/lib/libtbb_debug.so
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root 346K Jul 9 17:26 /usr/lib/libtbb_debug.so.2
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root 32 Jul 9 17:26 /usr/lib/libtbbmalloc_debug.so
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root 150K Jul 9 17:26 /usr/lib/libtbbmalloc_debug.so.2
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root 38 Jul 9 17:26 /usr/lib/libtbbmalloc_proxy_debug.so
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root 14K Jul 9 17:26 /usr/lib/libtbbmalloc_proxy_debug.so.2
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root 32 Jul 9 17:26 /usr/lib/libtbbmalloc_proxy.so
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root 14K Jul 9 17:26 /usr/lib/libtbbmalloc_proxy.so.2

-rwxr-xr-x 1 root 250K Jul 9 17:26 /usr/lib/libtbb.so.2

After upgrading (intel-tbb-2019.9):

$ ls -alhg /usr/lib/libtbb*

-rwxr-xr-x 1 root 14K Oct 15 18:29 /usr/lib/libtbbmalloc_proxy.so.2
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root 26 Oct 15 18:29 /usr/lib/libtbbmalloc.so
