DetailsWe need to use serial port in our scripts. The problem is that serial port permissions are set as root:root. In other distributions (like Slackware) permissions are set to root:uucp, so it is possible to call script from user from group uucp. In Arch I need to put this user into root group :(
I think it is a bug, root should not be required to use serial port, instead gruop uucp (or "serial") should be created. |
