DetailsDescription: Logwatch used to send nightly emails out of the box. Apparently it did so via the file /etc/cron.daily/0logwatch. At least, this is what the wiki page says [1]. However, version 7.5.2-6 no longer sends out emails and the 0logwatch file is no longer in the package. It would be nice if the file was brought back or, as a workaround, if the wiki page was updated with the new setup required for nightly emails.
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Logwatch Additional info: [cata@voronet ~]$ pacman -Ss logwatch community/logwatch 7.5.2-6 [installed] Logwatch is a customizable log analysis system. [cata@voronet ~]$ cat /etc/logwatch/conf/logwatch.conf MailTo = my@email.address Detail = Low Subject = Logwatch for voronet [cata@voronet ~]$ pacman -Ql logwatch | grep -i cron logwatch /usr/share/logwatch/default.conf/logfiles/cron.conf logwatch /usr/share/logwatch/default.conf/services/cron.conf logwatch /usr/share/logwatch/dist.conf/logfiles/cron.conf logwatch /usr/share/logwatch/scripts/logfiles/cron/ logwatch /usr/share/logwatch/scripts/logfiles/cron/applydate logwatch /usr/share/logwatch/scripts/services/cron Steps to reproduce: 1. Install logwatch. 2. As root, run logwatch manually without arguments to make sure it works. 3. As root, run logwatch --mailto your@email.address to make sure emails are going out. 4. Nightly emails never arrive. Workaround: As root, run crontab -e and add line like 40 3 * * * /usr/bin/logwatch --mailto your@email.address |

Probably your workaround is the solution.
