Description:
I am using the Virtualbox latest version with a WIN10 Guest. I gave 4Gb of RAM and 2 cpus to the VM . On the VM I run an application server and some other applications. My Linux laptop is an I5 and has 16Gb ram and 16Gb swap. After 2/3 days of usage the swap space on the host is all eaten up (the guest apps run fine within the assigned ram) and, if the guest is not shutdown timely, everything hangs and I am forced to turn off the pc. I normally start the VM in headless mode and connect to it via RDP. This is a very bad problem. Additional info: * package version(s) * config and/or log files etc. * link to upstream bug report, if any Steps to reproduce: As described above. |

I installed a very useful program from AUR named earlyoom that terminates the VM beyond a certain threshold. At least I don't lose the control of the machine.
