I would like to see HPOJ and HPIJS returned. I believe they were removed with the introduction of HPLIP. HPLIP does not work in all circumstances for all people. Most distro's (I realise Arch isn't most distro's :) have kept these packages.

Many thanks for a great distribution, which I keep returning to.

Is hpijs still updated by HP? If so, please remove the hpijs part from hplip and make it depend on that. Other option is to extract the ppds from hplip into a hpijs package.

Can anyone answer this? I can ask the question on hplip help if needed. At the moment I cannot scan in Arch without HPOJ.

thanks

I don't think we'll get a standalone hpijs package as that is no longer developed. Hpoj can be used with hpijs and its ppds included in the hplip package, so I think this one will make its return shortly.
