Description: This new sane version (1.0.28-1) does not
recognize certain scanners (e.g. Canon Lide 60) and this is
a regression from the previous sane version (1.0.27-2). I
have been using this scanner for 7 years now and this update
caused the mentioned regression. Please see the forum posts
at the following link, describing the problem and several
different attempts for workaround:

Additional info: * package version(s) * config and/or log files etc. * link to upstream bug report, if any Steps to reproduce: Launch xsane Sane reports an invalid argument error All troubleshooting steps at this link (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/SANE#Invalid_argument) have been tried and failed. Downgrading to sane 1.0.27-2 solves the problem, and normal behavior is restored. |
